Dust Cart – Sat 1 October 2022

BDC Amenity Vehicle – The DUST CART will be in the driveway to the Church on Saturday, 1st October 2022 from 9:00 am till 12:00 noon The following items will NOT be taken: White goods (i.e. cookers, fridge freezers, washing machines etc); Liquids (i.e. oil, paint etc); tyres; sheets of glass or asbestos; televisions. Any rubbish left prior to the vehicle arriving is not permitted and will be classed as fly tipping so please only bring your rubbish during the designated times stated above. Please do not bring items that could be put in either the recycling bags or green bins…

Litter Pick – 10 Sept 2022

A Litter Pick has been arranged for Saturday, 10 September If you would like to take part, please meet at the village sign at 9:30am. Equipment will be provided but please bring your own if you have it. Assistance to Ukraine

The war in Ukraine has shocked and saddened us all. Mark Hughes, an Essex business man and Stisted Parish Councillor, felt he had to do something to help the Ukranian people. He decided on Monday 28th February to fill a van with aid and drive to the Polish/Ukranian border. Mark has previously driven across Europe and Africa so is an old hand at driving long distances. He met with members of Stisted Parish Council and Stisted Village Hall on Monday evening to discuss how they could achieve this mission, the team decided to set up a donations point at Stisted Village…

Stisted named Class 4 Essex Village of the Year 2019!!!

 ESSEX VILLAGE OF THE YEAR 2019 – CLASS 4 WINNER  Three members of the Parish Council attended the Rural Community Council of Essex (RCCE) Annual General Meeting on the 10th July at the Chelmsford City Racecourse and were shocked and delighted to receive the award for Best Kept Village – Class 4 (population of 500-800).
