Stisted Village

Located North East of Braintree, Stisted is populated by around 600 people. Stisted has a village school, post office, two local pubs, village hall, allotments and is home to many small businesses. This is a real community with a good mix of young families and older residents. There is a playing field with activities for all ages including an obstacle course, table tennis, swings and climbing frames. In 2017, a pavilion was built to support the village football & rounders’ teams. It can also be hired / used for other events.

Nearby, you will find Braintree Golf Course, Stisted Hall, and many country walks through open fields and woodlands.

We love our village and we hope you do too!

Garden waste collections suspendedGarden waste collections suspended

Due to the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) we have made the decision to suspend garden waste collections with immediate effect for the foreseeable future.

We have taken this decision so we can focus resources on collecting essential grey bins, food waste bins and recycling sacks from households, as well as glass bottles and jars from bring bank sites.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) has led to reduced resource within the service as well as an increase in the amount of rubbish and recycling households are putting out for collection as they spend more time at home.

Whilst the service is suspended you will not be able to report missed garden waste collections.

Thank you for your co-operation.
