Dust Cart for Residents – 10 February at 10.00am

The Parish Council have arranged for a Dust Cart to visit Stisted on the morning of Saturday 10 February at 10.00 a.m. for 2 hours. We are planning for it to be in the usual place on Church walk to allow space for villagers to bring their items Note the new restrictions: Due to the new Environment Agency Regulations, the Dust Cart cannot accept any Persistent Organic Pollutents (POP’s) as the materials will go to landfill. Educational Grants for Young People from The Earls Colne and Halstead Educational Charity

The Charity assists young people up to the age of 25 in any sphere of educational activity, outside of mainstream education. Braintree District Council approves Updated Policy for Household Waste and Recycling Collections from 1 April

Councillor Tom Cunningham, Cabinet Member for Transformation, the Environment and Customer Services, and Deputy Leader at Braintree District Council, has said: “We all need to think about what we buy and take greater responsibility for reducing the amount of household waste we produce and recycle as much as we can.
