Stisted Parish Council Grant Applications

Each year the Parish Council will consider applications for grants from organisations that work for the benefit of the local community of Stisted Parish. Only one application for a grant per group/organisation is allowed in any one financial year (1st April to 31st March) and applications should be sent to the Parish Clerk at Stistedparishclerk@yahoo.co.uk. The process and the application form are available on this site at the following link at the policies and procedures section. Deadline for applications is 30 November.

Residents are invited to community workshops to support development of Local Nature Plans in Stisted

Essex County Council is calling on residents from Stisted to contribute to the development of local nature plans through attendance at community workshops named ‘Talking About Nature’ taking place on 14th May at Stisted Village Hall from 10am – 2pm. The local nature plans are being developed within the Climate Focus Area (CFA) – a recommendation from the Essex Climate Action Commission’s (ECAC) Net Zero: Making Essex Carbon Neutral report. Assistance to Ukraine

The war in Ukraine has shocked and saddened us all. Mark Hughes, an Essex business man and Stisted Parish Councillor, felt he had to do something to help the Ukranian people. He decided on Monday 28th February to fill a van with aid and drive to the Polish/Ukranian border. Mark has previously driven across Europe and Africa so is an old hand at driving long distances. He met with members of Stisted Parish Council and Stisted Village Hall on Monday evening to discuss how they could achieve this mission, the team decided to set up a donations point at Stisted Village…

Stisted named Class 4 Essex Village of the Year 2019!!!

 ESSEX VILLAGE OF THE YEAR 2019 – CLASS 4 WINNER  Three members of the Parish Council attended the Rural Community Council of Essex (RCCE) Annual General Meeting on the 10th July at the Chelmsford City Racecourse and were shocked and delighted to receive the award for Best Kept Village – Class 4 (population of 500-800).
